Made of durable 16 gauge mild steel tubing, the Hooker Competition header design utilizes a long transition collector to reduce back pressure and increase exhaust flow. A perfect sealing surface is assured with the 5/16” machined flanges, with welded O–ring seals. Experience has proven that this flange size is ideal to maintain header integrity and be pliable enough to seal each exhaust port. Tubing is mandrel–bent to maintain metal strength and provide consistent tube diameter at radii to maximize performance. Installation Notes

Breaking in an engine with ceramic coated Headers WILL result in damage to the coating and will VOID all warranties. Ceramic coated Headers require several heat cycles to fully cure before they will withstand extreme heat. Hooker recommends using cast iron exhaust Manifolds or old Headers to break in new engines to avoid coating damage. Please call Hooker tech service at 270–781–9741 for additional information regarding ceramic coated exhaust products. The use of header wraps can cause the header tubes to crack or rust due to excessive heat and moisture build–up. Hooker does not recommend the use of header wraps as this will void the warranty.

These High Performance BBK 351 swap Shorty headers have been designed specifically for any Mustang enthusiast who wishes to swap out the smaller 302 block for a larger/ taller 351 block engine and will then allow you to use a factory 5.0/302 H pipe or aftermarket H or X pipe.

ALL BBK Shorty Mustang Exhaust headers are manufactured with 1 5/8" CNC mandrel bent tubing for unrestrictive airflow and a one piece laser cut flange for added strength and durability. ALL BBK Headers are Pressure tested to ensure leak free performance.
