Turns fan on/off at the desired temperature. Dial-adjustable 1800-2400F. Gives the freedom to set one temperature for occasional high-demand use, then reset for highway or day-to-day driving.
Attaches to or near the electric engine-cooling fan. Senses coolant temp. via the radiator core and sets fan speed from 60% to 100%, depending on built-in fan thermostat setting. Thermostat range: 155 - 220 degrees Fahrenheit. Allows greater control over engine temp: reduces charging spikes and current load on charging system. 45 amp max. load. Directs fan to run for 30 seconds after vehicle is turned off.
Belt driven fans work best when they are 3/4" to 1" from the radiator's surface. Whenever you remove an original equipment fan clutch from your engine, you need to add a spacer to bring your new fan back into the "sweet spot" in the fan shroud opening. Use spacers according to the applications listed for stock engine set-ups. For engine swaps, check the clearances in your engine compartment and select the spacer(s) you need accordingly. Multiple spacers may be used, up to a maximum of 3". NOTE: USING OTHER THAN FLEX-A-LITE SPACERS WILL VOID THE WARRANTY ON ANY FLEX-A-LITE FAN.
